Venue: Hotel Rafain Palace, Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil).

Abstract submission deadline: May 6th.
Symposia: 23 thematic symposia on research in the most diverse materials, from synthesis to applications, organized by around 100 scientists from Brazil and abroad.

Community

Portuguese materials scientist Elvira Fortunato is Portugal’s new Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education. Elvira has participated in several B-MRS Meetings and was a plenary speaker at the event. Know more.

Prof Rodrigo Martins (FCT NOVA), a B-MRS member, received the Career and Recognition Award from the Portuguese Society of Materials (SPM). Prof Martins is currently the president of IUMRS. Know more.

Lives & Webinars

B-MRS, in partnership with Horiba, offers two short courses, in Portuguese, on topics related to Raman and fluorescence spectroscopy. The events will be held in June. Free registration is open. More information and registration.
