Summary
The Center for Innovation on New Energies (CINE) at Federal University of ABC (UFABC) is seeking to hire one post-doctoral researcher to work in methane conversion, preferably with knowledge in more than one of the following areas: heterogeneous catalysis, oxide-based cathalysts, gas analysis techniques (gas chromatography and mass spectrometry), thermochemical reactions at high temperature.
The UFABC M2P Lab has two permanent faculty members as well as several undergraduate and graduate students, and it is a part of the division 3 of the CINE, a new Shell – FAPESP Engineering Research Center, funded to develop new technological routes to convert methane into chemicals, amongst other goals.
Located at Santo André city, in the region known as ABC (São Paulo state), Federal University of ABC (UFABC) is one of the youngest Brazilian universities. Founded in 2006, today it operates two campuses, both still partly under construction, but has already established a reputation for high-level interdisciplinary research and teaching.
The positions are for two years, with a possibility for extension.
