A team of researchers from Brazilian institutions USP, CTI Renato Archer, UNIFEI and UFSCar has just presented an innovative strategy for producing ceramic structures that are used as scaffolds for bone tissue regeneration. The approach, which combines additive manufacturing and rapid sintering techniques, allows for the high-quality production of structures with complex geometries in short times and with low energy consumption. The strategy could also be used with other ceramic materials, opening doors to a wide range of applications. Go to the paper.

Researchers from Unicamp and CNPEM studied the performance and durability of electrolyte-gated transistors, devices that connect ionic and electronic phenomena and are ideal for use in bioelectronic technologies, such as biosensors or brain-machine interfaces. The authors produced a transistor with reduced graphene oxide in the active layer and analyzed its response to the application of electrical pulses of different durations and voltages. The results should help develop more robust and efficient bioelectronic devices. Go to the paper.
