Abstracts submission guidelines
General information regarding submitting an abstract for the ICAM 2009.
Deadline
Abstract submission will be closed as of June 6th, 2009 (extended). In fairness to all potential authors, LATE ABSTRACTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Abstract submission
Electronic submission only through ICAM 2009 website.
To submit your Abstract you will need to create an account with a login and a password, which you will use in the future to see the comments from referees.
One-page abstracts should be submitted electronically in English according to the model provided: AbstractModel_ICAM2009.doc and the abstract example provided: AbstractExample_ICAM2009.doc. The file size must have at maximum 2 Megabytes.
A maximum of 2 submissions per account registered in our system will be allowed.
The reception of any abstract will be automatically confirmed to the authors by e-mail.
Acceptance Policy
Abstracts will be reviewed according to the following criteria a) relevance to a specific symposium, b) scientific content, innovative proposals quality, c) clarity of text in English and d) compliance with the format. Abstracts not meeting these criteria will not be accepted.
Revisions
Because major revisions may affect a symposium organizer’s decision to accept your abstract, please review it carefully before submission.
After submission abstracts will not be accessible for corrections.
Publications
Accepted abstracts will be published in a CD-ROM and could also be accessed at this site.
Full papers: the symposium organizers will independently decide about the possibility of submission and publication of full text manuscripts corresponding to accepted abstracts, provided such manuscripts are reviewed according to the Journal standards.
The official ICAM 2009 publishing journal is Journal of Materials Science (Springer).
Presentations
Presentations can be either oral or as a poster. The authors may express their preference about the form of presentation. However, the Program Committee reserves the right to decide the form of presentation. Posters and slides for oral presentations should be written in English.
Accepted abstracts must be presented by a registered author.
Oral presentations, invited or contributed, as well as posters should be all in English.
