Advocacy<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– B-MRS joined more than 100 entities in Brazil in a manifesto that asks the Senate to remove from the agenda the PEC 186, which proposes the untying of mandatory resources for health and education from the General Budget of the Union. See the manifesto.<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– B-MRS supports petition for overturning President Bolsonaro’s vetoes to the law on the National Development, Scientific and Technological Funding (FNDCT). The vetoes threaten the release of resources for Science, Technology and Innovation. The Petition is still open. Sign the petition.<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

– Teamwork with large Brazilian participation, led by Profssor Ado Jorio (UFMG), helps elucidate the superconductivity of twisted bilayer graphene using a nanoscope – an instrument developed at Brazilian institutions UFMG and Inmetro that can disclose information about 2D materials, which could not previously be achieved by experimental nor theoretical methods (cover of Nature<\/i>).
