The submission of abstracts<\/b><\/span> to the annual meeting of the Brazilian Materials Research Society is open until April 15.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The event will be held from September 16 to 20 in Natal, one of the most beautiful cities in the Brazilian northeastern coast<\/b><\/span>, at the Hotel Praiamar.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Registration to participate in the event is also open, and until July 31 there are discounts for early registration<\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The best contributions presented by undergraduate or graduate students will be honored at the end of the event with awards from B-MRS and from ACS Publications<\/b><\/span>. To apply for the awards, authors must submit an extended abstract in addition to the conventional abstract.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This edition of the event comprises 21 thematic symposia<\/b><\/span>, to which researchers and students can submit abstracts of their works for oral or poster presentation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The symposia cover a wide range of research topics in Materials, from the design, manufacture, modification and characterization of various materials (nanomaterials, conductive polymers, advanced metals, composites, metal oxides, electroceramics, biomaterials, surfaces and coatings), to their applications in the segments of energy, aerospace, health, electronics, bioelectronics, photonics and various industries. Advances in the toxicology of nanomaterials will also be discussed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The symposia of the XVII B-MRS Meeting are coordinated by researchers associated to universities, institutes and companies from Argentina<\/b><\/span>, Brazil<\/b><\/span>, Canada<\/b><\/span>, Chile<\/b><\/span>, Germany<\/b><\/span>, Portugal<\/b><\/span>, Spain<\/b><\/span>, and the United States<\/b><\/span>. The general coordinator of the event is Professor Antonio Eduardo Martinelli<\/b><\/span>, from the Brazilian Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The event will include oral presentations, poster sessions, invited lectures and eight plenary lectures<\/b><\/span>, in which internationally renowned scientists will show results which are at the frontier of knowledge. The meeting will also feature various companies at the industrial exhibition.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
