{"id":4652,"date":"2016-08-15T16:11:05","date_gmt":"2016-08-15T19:11:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sbpmat.org.br\/?p=4652"},"modified":"2016-08-15T16:11:05","modified_gmt":"2016-08-15T19:11:05","slug":"oportunidade-bolsa-de-pos-doutorado-em-bioeletroquimica-no-iqsc-usp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sbpmat.org.br\/en\/oportunidade-bolsa-de-pos-doutorado-em-bioeletroquimica-no-iqsc-usp\/","title":{"rendered":"Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioelectrochemistry."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/bioelectrochemistry.iqsc.usp.br\/\">Laboratory of Bioelectrochemistry and Interfaces<\/a> at S\u00e3o Paulo University (USP), campus at S\u00e3o Carlos, S\u00e3o Paulo state, Brazil, invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellowship in bioelectrochemistry under supervision of Professor Frank Crespilho and funded by Foundation for Research Support of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo (FAPESP) contract.\u00a0 The successful candidate will conduct research on the molecular interaction between biomolecules and nanostructures, including:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>developing and testing enzymes bioelectrodes;<\/li>\n<li>transferring high activity\/selectivity biocatalyst to a surface-confined environment;<\/li>\n<li>studying the interplay between charge transport, mass transport, and molecular conformation of enzymes;<\/li>\n<li>developing new tools for <em>FTIR Chemical Imaging<\/em> coupled with electrochemistry.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers allows you to carry out a long-term research project (12-24 months), starting at 10\/2016.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, electrochemical engineering, or a related field.\u00a0 Experience in enzymes immobilization and basic electrochemistry is required. \u00a0Experience with UV-Vis spectroscopy, and FTIR spectroscopy, is preferred. \u00a0The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and excel in a highly collaborative research environment. In addition to the timely publication of research results in peer-reviewed journals, the responsibilities of the postdoc include drafting progress reports.\u00a0 Interested individuals should send a (i)cover letter, (II) CV and list of publications, and have (III) two letters of recommendation sent to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:bioelectrochemistry@iqsc.usp.br\">bioelectrochemistry@iqsc.usp.br<\/a>.
