However, producing high-quality zirconia pieces with complex shapes and using low-cost and sustainable processes is still a challenge. In this study, researchers from USP and UERJ, together with collaborators from the University of Aveiro (Portugal), combined advanced additive manufacturing and sintering techniques to obtain dense zirconia samples in times and temperatures significantly lower than conventional ones. She ceated the first structural crystallography laboratory in the country, was the first person to direct the Brazilian Crystallography Association and the S\u00e3o Carlos Institute of Physics at USP and trained around 200 crystallographers throughout her career. The distinction recognizes the talent and dedication of Brazilian female scientists, strengthening the role of women in national scientific advancement. Prof. Yvonne was a pioneer in Brazil with international prominence. She ceated the first structural crystallography laboratory in the country, was the first person to direct the Brazilian Crystallography Association and the S\u00e3o Carlos Institute of Physics at USP and trained around 200 crystallographers throughout her career.
