Symposium B: Polymer nanocomposites for package and other engineering applications

The symposium will cover the synthesis, processing and characterization of nanocomposite polymeric materials for package and other engineering applications, including the following topics:

• Mineral (clay, talc, silica, and calcium carbonate) nanofilled thermoplastics, biopolymers and thermosets.
• Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) nanofilled thermoplastics and thermosets.
•  Thermoplastics filled with carbon nanotubes, metal nanoparticles and metal nanowires.
• Rubbers and elastomeric compounds with mineral nanofillers and cellulose nanofibers.

Scientists, engineers and students from universities, industry and research centers are invited to participate and submit papers. The symposium will include conferences, oral presentations and poster sessions with the goal of providing a technical-scientific forum in the field.
