SYMPOSIUM H - PARTICULATE MATERIALS: PROCESSING, PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS

This symposium will be organized as a multidisciplinary forum for the presentation of scientific and technological research works and the debate on current issues related to innovations on processing, characterization and applications of particulate materials. Special emphasis will be placed on recent advances on the development of novel particulate materials, their microstructure, properties and applications; studies on sintering mechanisms and kinetics as well as on the use of heat treatments and thermochemical surface treatments applied to sintered materials. The symposium will be open not only to the presentation of original research works but also to lectures given by invited speakers on topics that comprise the state of the art on relevant aspects for the field of powder technology.

Topics of major interest:

  • Novel particulate products, their properties and applications;
  • Properties and processing of particulate materials (metallic, ceramic and composites);
  • Shaping processes;
  • Sintering mechanisms and kinetics;
  • Microstructure of powder materials;
  • Heat treatments and thermochemical surface treatments for sintered materials.

Keywords: powder materials.
