Materials Education Symposium

Materials Science is an example of the disciplines that connects the pure and applied sciences across many fields. This creates something we can call a wave of challenges, where the only interdisciplinary thinking can help achieve a balance between understanding and knowledge transfer necessary for engineers and other professionals today. This Symposium invites educators to work in the areas of materials, physics, chemistry, mathematics, biological sciences and engineering, describing his recent accomplishments, creative teaching styles, curriculum development and innovative. Contributions by educators at various levels are welcome, including schools, universities, technology centers and dissemination to the community at large.
This is a symposium in the area of innovative materials for the Brazilian Society for Materials Research (SBPMat) because it is not just a conference debated research but research and teaching materials. We find ourselves at a point where not only the research becomes as valid for the academic formation of new students and future professionals. We need education in the classroom is truly aggrandizing as the experience in professional practice, both in teaching, and in industry. We seek through this meeting narrowing the boundaries between teaching, research, industry and teaching.
