The Brazilian Research Society and the Organizing Committee of the XI Brazil-MRS meeting proudly invite the worldwide materials research and development community to participate in another edition of their yearly conference. This traditional forum will once again be dedicated to the presentation and debate of recent advances and future perspectives in materials science and technology.

The XI meeting of MRS-Brazil will be held in the Costão do Santinho Resort & SPA, located in Florianópolis, from September 23 to 27, 2012. The event will bring together materials science and engineering researchers to a multidisciplinary environment organized in thematic symposia consisting of both oral and poster presentations. Plenary talks will be given by specialists from Brazil and abroad.

Passaport and Visa Requirements: The Brazilian visa policy is based on reciprocity. Citizens from countries that require visa for Brazilian citizens are subject to the same formality when visiting Brazil. Visa may be obtained at local Brazilian Consulates.

Currency: Brazilian currency is the Real (R$). Major credit cards are generally accepted.
