Plenary Sessions

Plenary Sessions on the state of the art in materials research as well as about opportunities in international cooperation are planned.

Exhibition

There will be a number of commercial stands displaying products related to instrumentation and topics of interest in materials research. Companies or exhibitors interested in displaying or advertising their products at the conference are required to contact encontro@sbpmat.org.br.

Oral Presentations/Posters

Authors will be notified about acceptance and mode of presentation of their papers not later than September 20, 2003. The time allocated to invited speakers is 30 minutes. Oral contributions will be limited to 15 minutes. The maximum size for the poster is: vertical 1.20 m and horizontal 0.90 m.

Official Conference Language

The official languages of the meeting will be Portuguese and English. Oral presentations in Portuguese are required to use overhead or Power Point slide projections in English. Poster should also be presented in English.

Proceedings

Full lenght papers accepted by the organizers will be considered for publication in two journals, to be decided by the author: a journal of wide spectrum and common to all symposia Materials Research (http://www.nit.ufscar.br/matres) or journal specific for each symposium, to be informed.
Submitted papers will be refereed accordingly. Instructions for authors have been dispatched together with the notification of acceptance of the abstracts.
All articles should be submitted in 3 copies on the first day of the meeting (or date of arrival).
